TEHRAN – Major General Hossein Salami, the chief commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has issued a strong warning to Israel, stating that the regime will face Tehran’s retaliation for its "vicious acts."

Speaking on Sunday, General Salami emphasized that Israel will not evade consequences for its actions, vowing that retribution is inevitable. 

In his remarks, General Salami did not specify the timing or nature of the response but assured that Israel would "see when, where, and how" Iran's revenge would unfold. 

Salami warned that Israel and its allies should not expect to strike and flee without consequences. "They will be hit, and they cannot run away," he stated, reinforcing Iran's long-standing position that it will take decisive action against those it deems responsible for hostile acts.

The IRGC commander also highlighted the growing internal unrest in Israel, referring to widespread protests against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He pointed to the dissatisfaction among the Israeli public, particularly over Netanyahu’s failure to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. According to Salami, Israel's internal political stability is crumbling under the pressure of external and internal challenges.

"Muslims surround the usurping Zionist regime, and the fear of Iran's decisive action haunts them day and night," Salami declared. He further noted that Israel's political leadership appears disoriented, with officials showing signs of instability as protests continue in Jerusalem.

Salami's statements come as tensions between Israel and Iran remain high following the assassination of Haniyeh, a key figure in the Palestinian Resistance. 

Iranian officials have vowed to deliver a "harsh response" to the killing, describing it as an act of aggression that will not go unanswered. 

Haniyeh, along with one of his bodyguards, was killed in a targeted operation in Tehran on July 31, just a day after attending the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

The rhetoric from Tehran signals a continuation of the escalating tensions in the region, with Israel facing growing pressure from both external threats and internal dissent.
